Resting in His Arms

In my walk with the Lord, He has been gently reminding me of the peace and security there is in Him; please meditate on Isaiah 26:3 and listen to the link to Phil Wickham’s, In Jesus’ Arms. Who or what are we placing first in our lives?

That soul-searching question can be answered by asking the Lord to search our hearts, Psalm 139:23-24. The Psalmist brought up an issue with God that was heavy on my mind.  The issue has been one of getting rid of hindrances in the walk with Christ.

For me, and I am sure it is the same for you readers, the hindrance in my growth with the Lord is the faith/trust area.  My fears have put a barrier in the way of experiencing perfect peace and stability. This thought inspires me to share a couple of times the Spirit spoke to me.

The first thing that is entering my thoughts has been the numerous times I have had issues sleeping.  In those instances, the Spirit quieted my panic with the beautiful thought that He wanted to talk to me. When I proceeded to talk to God and turn my troubled heart and mind over to Him, I eventually ended up experiencing the peace to fall asleep.  The frustrations in our lives can be turned into making us into better individuals (Romans 8:28).  Secondly, I wanted to share what the Family experienced with Mom.  Her confusion and fears were helped more by her seeking the Spirit’s filling, even more than groups at the psychiatric hospital! Let us put God first this week and rest in His arms!  God bless as you trust the Savior!
