Hosea 6:3 is an excellent reminder to give God recognition for who He is. He is the one who brings the rain in every season of our lives. We may have those days where we are very discouraged and are wondering how we are going to ever go on; the important part is that we go to God with our feelings of despair, and cry out to God for assistance.
When I heard “Flowers” by Samantha Ebert, it brought back a statement that my father made to my husband and I. We had just moved into our apartment in Tukwila, WA , after getting remarried. There was naturally the feeling of being overwhelmed starting all over again. The Spirit used my Father to remind us that all God expects of us is to be good stewards and let our roots grow deep. He encouraged us to bloom where we are planted. Jesus is the one to shape and water us.
This shaping and watering process is not easy; it is not up to the pot or flower to say to the potter or caretaker that they are getting up or uprooting themselves. What their potter or caretaker is doing gives them life and completes them. Without this process, they would not have life. I just wanted to remind us that God hasn’t given up on us, and He will complete what He has begun. There is a purpose for shaping and watering. Have a blessed week!
