Have Faith

Matthew 15:21-28

in this chapter of Matthew, it emphasizes the importance of who you place your trust in.  This Gentile woman did the right thing… she took the issue of her tormented daughter to the Master.  I love how much faith she exhibited!  She acknowledged the fact that she wasn’t a Jew but could still receive from Him.  She brought up how the dogs at a table still receive the leftovers.

As I was pondering this subject, the Holy Spirit reminded me of when Jesus mentioned the creation is taken care of by Him (Matthew 6:26) without a care in the world.  Where is our trust put each day?  We need to search our hearts (Psalm 139:23). If I would exercise my faith, my blood pressure would be more under control.  Let us all dwell on the fact that Jesus loves us so much and is omnipotent!

Psalm 103:1- Praise the Lord!

Yes, how can we not praise the Lord!  That was the message that kept coming out this week.  It was one of much turmoil …health and emotional problems in my life, my family’s life, and in many members of the Body of ChristI had several nights of troubled sleep.  I just was beside myself!  The Lord stopped me and shared with me that I shouldn’t be waisting my time worrying.

Instead, those are the times to seek His holy Name in honor and praise.  I love  talking to God because that is when I feel loved and sheltered (Psalm 119:114)Inside, there could be a storm of cares and concerns; but, God is still the speaker of peace (Mark 4:39)He does not give us a spirit of fear but of peace and of a sound mind {2 Timothy 1:7}. I remember my Father sharing how my Mother overcame many of her mental illness issues giving herself to the Holy Spirit.  I remember one of my pastors, probably Chuck Smith, stating that the Holy Spirit is a gentleman.  He is there waiting for us to give ourselves over to Him, and will not force His way on us.  He truly is good, and creation will not stop praising the name of the Lord!

Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV

I have to admit that being anxious about things has been a sin of mine.  Over the years, God has lovingly reassured me that I was in good hands.  The first step we need to take when upset is to take our concerns to Him in prayer.  Then we need to thank Him for His answer and that He cares for us.  He has promised to give us peace! That peace, which is divinely given, will protect us from doubting.

I don’t know about you, but I do not want to be guilty of not trusting Jesus.  When we are doubting God, it is as if we are telling Him that His promises of provisions are lies.  Who are we to tell the Creator of the Universe we would rather trust our own intuitions/feelings?  I wanted to encourage everyone to continue in our faith and to keep praying.  He loves us so much!  Please take a listen to this Toby Mac song…I am sure it will bless you.
